This bug has been in South Eastern Wisconsin for many years, but really started making an impact in the last couple years. They only feed on Ash trees. (Ash, White Ash, Green Ash) Surprisingly they do not attack Mountain Ash trees. Ash trees that are attacked can die within 2 - 4 years.

Soil Injections and/or Trunk Injections to prevent Emerald Ash Borer have proven to be highly effective, with an over 95% success rate. It is critical to treat your trees annually in order to protect them from the EAB. Larger trees respond better with direct Trunk Injections. We would be happy to check your Ash trees for signs of EAB and recommend a course of action.
